Tonight I had the privilege of photographing Alexis’s maternity photos and her beautiful family at the beach as part of a fundraiser to help build a house in Mexico! Next week my daughter Isla’s middle school/high school is sending a team (along with some parents and master builders) to build a house for a family in need in Mexico. Alexis is from Mexico. She heard about the trip and wanted to be a part of the fundraiser, which is so special. I loved photographing her beautiful family and capturing her pregnancy with some gorgeous maternity shots as well.
Old Airport beach is such a perfect location for family photos. The light is always amazing whenever I shoot there! There is gorgeous grass, trees, shade, as well as rocks, beach and golden light. I highly recommend it. I also love shooting at the park on the opposite side of the park (it is literally the “old airport” of Kona, so you just walk across the old runway!). There are so many hidden locations that make for beautiful photos.
