Book a Kona Photo Walk for Great Portraits: Learn Photography in Hawaii
You may or may not already know that I absolutely love teaching photography. I am excited to announce that I am now offering one hour photo walk workshops in Kona, where you can take home portraits of yourself or loved one(s) as well as learn how to use your camera!
I have been a teacher off and on over the years, and one of my favorite subjects to teach is photography. I have taught it at the middle school level, high school level, adult level, and even online (check out my 6 week “Looking for the Light: Photography & Life” course, or my Travel Photography course!). Both are available for you to purchase and do entirely online!
While online learning is great, one of my favorite methods of teaching is to actually sit down with you, show you your own specific DSLR or mirrorless camera, and then walk around with you taking photos (and teaching you as I go). A fun place to do this is Kailua town, where we can find interesting backdrops, colorful shops, great light, and beautiful sunsets, but I am open to come to you at your resort or another location or beach in the Kona/Waikoloa area.
I offer group or individual session 1 hour sessions where you’ll leave feeling more confident with your own camera, and have some great portraits of yourself as well (I will give you the five best photos I take of you). If you want to bring a friend to benefit from either the portraits or the training, that’s fine as well! I am happy to pre-book these or book them spur-of-the-moment based upon my availability. Learn more here.
No matter what your level is, I can help you with your technique, composition, creativity and storytelling skills. Tell me what you’re getting stuck on and I’ll help you solve that problem. Think of me as your personal photography coach! (I’m actually a certified life coach as well . . . so we can throw in some of that if you’d like too!)
Bring that DSLR or mirrorless camera that has been mystifying you and I’ll help break it down in a way that makes sense, and give you some hands-on practice in shooting in manual (once you learn this, you’ll never look back!).
Interested in booking? My rate for a one hour photo walk/workshop is $550. If you’d like a longer session, additional hours are $350 or part thereof. If you’re not in the area, I also offer online coaching.
Let me know how I can help you become a better photographer; book a photo walk and learn photography!
