Kona Hawaii Fall Portraits: How to create a fall vibe in the tropics
When you’re on a tropical island, it can be hard to get “fall photos,” since we don’t have the same type of autumn trees here. So how do you pull off fall portraits in Hawaii? Here on the Big Island we have a few “country” type areas, such as this ranch in Kealekekua, where we found wild grass, a rock wall and some natural greenery. All we had to do was add in the colors we wanted, just in the clothing choices.
How do you do this?
Think fall colors, boots, flannels, jeans and anything else that can bring in that autumn vibe. Then, just add the golden sunset light and it will paint a golden glow over everything.
Here’s Pam, Stacy and baby Paxton showing us how it’s done! No props, pumpkins, or deciduous trees necessary. 😊
